Noah

In the days of Noah, all man had on his mind was evil and God wanted to destroy man because of this. Noah was a holy man and God knew that. So he told Noah to build an ark because he was going to destroy the earth. Noah obeyed and God gave the dimensions of the ark Noah was to build and told Noah to take his wife and three sons and their wives, and two of every living thing on the ark. And take food as well, and so many clean and unclean animals. (Not quite sure numbers on them)
After 40 days and 40 nights the rain stopped and the ark rested on the mountains of Ararat. God made a covenant with Noah stating that he will not destroy the earth again with water. The rainbow confirms God’s covenant.
Noah had 3 sons:
Shem - Canaan shall be servants of Shem.
Ham - Father of Canaan.
Japheth - God shall enlarge Japheth & shall dwell in tents of Shem.

After the flood, God told Noah and his sons to spread across the world to replenish the Earth. They disobeyed & stayed in one place. Ham later had a son named Nimrod (a mighty hunter before the LORD) and he tried to build a tower (Tower of Babel) tall enough to reach to Heaven. This angered God and he confounded the people by giving different languages to the people forcing them to spread out over the world.

Noah had gotten drunk and was naked and Ham did not look away from his nakedness so Noah cursed Ham. Shem & Japheth covered their father and looked away and they were blessed.
Shem’s generation lead to Terah who begat 3 sons: Abraham (Abram), Nahor & Haran.
