Isaac

Isaac married Rebekah (Abraham’s brother’s daughter)
Isaac and Rebekah had twins, Esau & Jacob.
While in the womb the boys wrestled and this was a sign of how the nations would get along later by the boy’s descendants. When Esau was born Jacob had a hold of his heel. God told Rebekah that the youngest (Jacob) would be over the oldest (Esau). In the New Testament it talks about God loving Jacob and hating Esau. Not meaning hate but that God favored Jacob because he knew their hearts.
Esau was a cunning hunter.
Jacob was a plain man that dwelt in tents and was a deceiver.
Jacob made Esau sale him his birthright for food.
Rebekah loved Jacob and Isaac loved Esau.

Rebekah and Jacob tricked Isaac into giving blessings to Jacob that he had intended for Esau. Jacob deceived his father by making the stew and putting on fur of an animal on his arms because Esau was a hairy man. Isaac could not see well because of his old age and was fooled by this so Jacob offered the stew to his father as told. Then Isaac gave him the blessing that was intended for Esau. This made Esau mad and wanted to kill Jacob. Jacob fled and Isaac spoke to Jacob telling him not to take a wife of the daughters of Canaan. For him to go to his mother’s father (Bethuel) home & take a wife from his mother’s brother (Laban).
