Welcome to My Bible Study Notes! This site was inspired by a bible study that my church is doing. Have you ever been in church and the pastor or someone else talks about someone in the bible and you are in the dark on who they are talking about? Or you may have heard of this person's name but didn't know their story? Well, I have been that person for years now. It's so frustrating! I think it's very important to learn from the Old Testament, it is the foundation of the bible. It shows the lineage to our Lord Savior Jesus Christ, plus it also shows that the people of the bible weren't always squeaky clean, but God chose to use them to accomplish his work and he loved them unconditionally just like he does you and me. I was amazed when I read that some of the people that I thought were so holy did so many bad things in their lives, some were even murderers! But God still chose to use this person. You will see as you read my notes that even though God forgave these people of their sins, there were still consequences to their actions that they had to pay for, some of these consequences affected their descendants and even affected us today! Prime example, Adam & Eve. We now have sin in our lives because they disobeyed God!
My recommendations to you is that you never just read someone else's notes or commentaries and leave it at that. This is not the purpose of this site, but this is just to summarize what I have already read and it's just an aid to help you understand the bible. You must read the word yourself to get your own meaning. God may reveal something to you that he has not to me. It will happen. God reveals things to us in his own timing but you need to seek his word to find out what that is. And before you study your bible, you need to pray that God will give you the understanding and wisdom that he wants you to have. You ask this, and you will see that reading the bible is not that hard after all.
I hope you enjoy this site. God will sure bless you like he has me if you just seek him!
